Kayak Fishing this year /2025、Finally opening the Ｓｅａｓｏｎ ７。
This winter season lingered for quite a while, and the return of cold air persisted, so I thought the kayak season wouldn’t start until the end of the month at the earliest. However, from the latter half of last week, the lowest temperature of day finally began to rise, and warm days are forecasted to continue. As I’ve been feeling the cold wind fading away, I quickly started preparing and picked up its speed. After the rain had passed, on Monday, April 21st, I was finally able to kick off the season on its first day.

( from a little
bit past 6:30 to a little bit to 10.)
2)Place： Usual spot/home
(backyard) ~ Kyushu area in Japan
3)Weather:
cloudy (a bit misty) turning clear, temperature around 18°C and above.
The rain from
the previous day lingered until early dawn. The temperature did not drop, and it
started cloudy with mist in the early morning. However, it soon cleared up with
a light breeze, gradually turning into a sunny day.
4)Tide：Around the lowest in the neap tide.
5)Water temperature：about 18.5 up to 20 ℃
6)Catch: Only one
small size of “Kichinu or
Kibire”, Yellow fin black
sea bream.
7)Lure/Bait: Karyu bait Original,
Pencil bait (size 90mm and 75mm), Crank bait (size 105mm)

[ Overview ]
As it was the
opening game of the season, the goals for the first day were to perform a final
check of the kayak, gears, and fishing equipment that had been hastily
prepared, as well as to observe and confirm the conditions at the site/fishing
spot.
As always, I
transported the kayak and smoothly loaded and unloaded it at my usual spot. The
paddling and grip of the newly purchased paddle were good. There were no
particular issues, and I was able to enjoy fishing comfortably.
As for the
catch (conditions at the fishing spot), I was hoping for sea bass, black sea
bream, and bottom fish (such as flounder or flathead), but apart from the small
black sea bream that I caught, there were no bites or reactions. It became
clear that this season's (opening) conditions are quite tough. Fortunately, I
managed to catch a black sea bream that happened to be there, just avoiding a
blank day and barely starting the season with a win.
However, it was
a calm and sunny day, with pleasantly crisp air and strong sunlight that felt
comfortable on the water. On this first day, I was blessed with the best kayak fishing
weather of the year, and I believed that being able to kick off the season
safely and without any trouble was the greatest joy of the day.

カヤック・フィッシング、いよいよ今季/Ｓｅａｓｏｎ ７が開幕。
今年は冬が長く寒の戻りが後を引いて、早くても今月末からスタートかなと思って過ごしてましたが、先週後半からようやく最低気温も上がって来て、暖かい日が続く予報。
そして風の冷たさが消えて、俄に準備を加速し、雨も通過した4/21 (月曜日)に、ついにシーズン初日に漕ぎ着けることができました。
①日時；2025年4月21日(月曜)、 6:30過ぎ～10時前の約３時間、
②場所；いつもの場所/ホーム(Backyard)～九州管内
③天候；曇り(霧)のち快晴 気温18℃～
前日からの雨が未明まで残る。気温は下がらず、早朝は曇って霧ががってましたが、その後微風とともに快晴へ。
④潮汐；小潮周り
⑤水温；18.5～20℃ （まだ海水温の方が低め）
⑥釣果；キチヌ/キビレ(小) １尾のみ
⑦ルアー/ベイト；ペンシルベイト(90＆75mm)、クランクベイト(105mm)～昨年の継続

【概 観】
開幕戦ということで、この日の目標。
先ずは取り急ぎ準備したカヤック＆装備、釣具などを実際に使ってみての最終確認。そして現場/釣り場の状況確認(様子見)でした。
いつも通りカヤックを運搬して、いつもの場所で順調に荷下ろし荷揚げ。新調したオールの漕ぎ具合、握り具合も良好。特に不具合もなく、快適に釣りも出来ました。
釣果(釣り場の状況)の方は、シーバス、キチヌ、底物(ヒラメ/マゴチ)を期待したものの、釣魚以外は追いもなく無反応。今季(開幕)もかなりのタフコンと判明。
取り敢えず、たまたま居たキチヌを運良くキャッチで、とにかくボオズにならず白星スタート。
しかしながら、穏やかに晴れて、心地よいカラリとした空気と強い日差しが水上では心地よく、この初日に今年最高の釣り日和に恵まれ、今年もトラブルなく安全にシーズン・インできたことが最上の歓びとなりました。
